Grade information may be found on the lms page.  Final grades consist of:

Weekly(ish) Quizzes: Because homework is only suggested, (almost) every week’s recitation will consist of a short quiz to keep you up to speed with concepts recently covered.  Each quiz is scored out of ten points, and taken together will be worth 25% of your final grade. No makeups will be given for quizzes, but the lowest two scores will be dropped to address sick days/athletics events/etc.

(Likely) exam dates: 3/3, 4/7 (updated), and 4/28 (25% of final grade each)

An optional final, which may replace your lowest test grade, will be given during finals period (to be determined).  A little confidence never hurts, but please do not buy plane tickets home before the finals period, just in case you need to take this exam.

If you’d like to appeal a grade, please contact April (your TA) if you have any questions about graded  quizzes, and the instructor for regrades on exams.  I have a semi-formal method for appealing exam grades to help both parties understand what specific complaints are –  I’ll give instructions in the future.

Guaranteed grades are as follows:

A: >92 A-: 90-92 B+: 87-90 B:   82-87 B-: 80-82 C+: 77-80 C   72-77 C-: 70-72 D+: 67-70 D: 60-67 F:       < 60

There is a possibility of a grade curve at the end of the semester, but this will not be determined until after the final.
